Commuting
How happy I am that I am not amongst those nameless hoardes who daily ride the train to London clutching their little mobile phones. The only talking which goes on during the journey seems to be into phones - never with the real live people one is squashed up with. Very bizzare.
Anyway, this week's reason for joining the throng was to visit the Science museum. We had got all inspired about the world and the universe as a result of David's work in his Dr Wile science text. That and a Moody film about the vastness of the universe. Lucy had planned to stay home with the littlest three but was so keen to find out more about creation that she came along too (as did the small people).
We love the hands-on science stuff - we always learn such a lot. That and the flight section , which we passed through too speedily.
And then on the journey home we played sardines again (but at least this time our cramming ourselves ever nearer the front of the crowd - wherever that might have been - paid off and we got to sit down on the way home) and I had a scientific interaction with the small point of some woman's shoe (upon which she evidently found it difficult to remain balanced) and thought that 'next time' I shall wear steel toe-caps, it will be less painful - for me.
