God's kindness continues to be manifested to us - we're greatly blessed by the return of Sandra Lovelace (this time with her husband, Curt). Having their wisdom and experience brought into our baffling situation is one of the great kindnesses of the Lord in our lives at the moment. It is a pity that the only way to really learn to know God better is by experiencing trials but Scripture does tell us not to be surprised about it (so I'm trying not to be!). To have others who are older and wiser who can point us in the direction of Scriptures which shed light on the path is so rare - I hope that for my children it will become less rare. Trusting that through this the Lord is equipping me to be able to help others to cut through the nonsense which others (even Christians) try and weigh us down with and simply apply the un-adulterated, un-revised, un-twisted Word of God.
Ron continues to feel tired much of the time but in spite of the extra (seemingly unecessary) burdens laid on him by others, he continues to find the Lord upholding him and it's not dragging him down now like it did. Richard is his old (or even better) bouyant self - back to work today. Samuel is dependable and as much a joy and help as normal (but not the less valued for all that). Thomas is heading off to the US tomorrow and currently is on holiday somewhere north of here. Those who are in full-time education continue variously with 'life skills' and DVD lectures (with a bit of necessary nursery work interspersed).
As for me, when I get a minute I've to continue with sewing things for Joanna and Victoria to wear for the summer - it gets increasingly hard to buy clothes which are not worldly (even for little girls) and give the message that either they are 'available' - or have an 'attitude'. What a sad society we live in.

Good to hear that you are being encouraged by your visitors.
Continuing to pray for you all.

I know what you mean about clothes for girls. School discos in particular can be horrific.. with some girls as young as four and five looking like little versions of ladies who stand on street corners! I usually end up having a rant about inappropriate music and clothes to the poor P.T.A. mothers who probably think I'm from a different planet.

Hope Ron is being good and resting!
