Gave up listening to Ken Gentry on Revelation - he says some very sensible things about the matter of 'last things' and doesn't offer all the mental contortions which were suggested to me in the early days when I was a Christian. Funny thing is why is it that when one is first a Christian people feel it is essential that you read Revelation and 'understand' the 'last things'. Interesting to consider that the book of common prayer has a chart in the front giving formulae for finding Easter until the year 2999 (and think about when it was WRITTEN!!!!) - seems the default position there was not despensational pre-millenialsm. I wonder how many anglican churches which are 'alive' now are into Tim Lahaye and what will the impact be in the long-term (it doesn't seem to have done non-conformity any favours....).
Trying to eke out schoolwork a bit longe r- haven't got to the end of the Odyssey section yet. We're still only at page 113 and there are 603 pages in Omnibus 1 (and there was I thinking we could start on Omnibus II in September - no hope of that now.)
discussions and essays have been on things like home and hospitality - today we consider 'is it right to make fun of someone' - should be interesting. I have to admit that if I could see my children begin to say KIND and Helpful things to one another I would be a little less stressed. Still, at least they know how to behave when they are OUT and when we have guests most of them have the ability to be pleasant. I wonder why they can't just pretend that their siblings were someone elses.....

I'd not realised your children were quite that nasty.
