Currently recovering from the stress of the wedding of Philip and Becky and reflecting on my new persona as a mother-in-law. I've not had much opportunity to practice my m.i.l-ish duties (whatever they may be, I've yet to discover!) apart from a hug of greeting on Wednesday. The celebration in Switzerland is to take place tomorrow. I had planned not to go to Switzerland realising that the stress of the rora house camp and then the wedding would push me to my limits. The strain of conveying the younger children over there (or arranging for them to be divvied up in the UK) was more than I could begin to think about (even 8 weeks ago!). We get old, we get feeble, we can't always do everythign we might like to do - I shall be sorry to miss the celebrations (esp. as I could have done that, once there, without any responsiblities for the proceedings!) but such is life. Ron took me to the osteopath on Tuesday and things in my neck and back were about as bad as they have ever been. It took me a couple of days to recover from the treatment and today I have another appointment which will, hopefully, set me on a firm foundation to enjoy two weeks of holiday = first in Lyme REgis and then in Penzance (first in the caravan and secondly in a tent).
Things I have been benefitting from include fellowship with a delightful pair of hungarian girls - one of whom has a most delightful Irish/English accent (!!!) and very good english - the other of which is just as delightful but her English is not so good. I am looking forward to talking with them in Hungarian in the hereafter!
more later, with pics....
