All is going well here (though not at home). Today I am with the children visiting Dad (hence the computer access) before heading back to Glossop where we are staying until tommorow afternoon. Next we go on to Brooksby (where the canoe was built) so the boys can do some canoeing and maybe we can see Lucy. Hopefully by this time next week we will be safe to go home and will not fall foul of the nasty bug which has afflicted Ron and timothy.

I wonder why it is that people in the past used to wear clothes which would help a person to distinguish them and that nowadays even ministers have abandoned this - is this somehtign to do with the leveling of hte French Revolution I wonder.....

have been reading an excellent book by Jim Corbett (I think) on the man-eating leopard of Rudrayprayag in India. I kept quoting it to the boys and in the end they asked me to read it out loud, which I did.. I started on a book about man-eating tigers by the same author - but I won't read it aloud and still I won't have time to finish it. All fascinating stuff!
